Victim Services, Office of

Description

The Office of Victim Services (the Office) is an independent Executive agency, created pursuant to Article 22 of the Executive Law. It is the Mission of the Office to provide compensation to innocent victims of crime in a timely, efficient and compassionate manner; to fund direct services to crime victims via a network of community-based programs; and to advocate for the rights and benefits of all innocent victims of crime. The Office is headed by a Director, who is appointed by the Governor for a term of three years. Salary of the Director: $101,600 annually.
