The Chief Housing Officer provides oversight of all housing and residential development efforts including the promotion of affordable housing, housing policy issues, and citywide initiatives that relate to identify housing options for New Yorkers experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable populations. The Chief Housing Officer oversees the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the New York City Housing Authority, the Housing Development Corporation, and the Office of Housing Recovery Operations.
