Administered by a Board of Trustees chaired by a representative appointed by the Mayor. Such representative is entitled to cast one vote. The City Public Advocate and City Comptroller each cast one vote. Each of the five borough presidents casts a one-fifth vote. Membership also includes three public employee representatives; each entitled to cast one vote. Board of Trustees appoints Executive Director of the Retirement System.
