The Office of the Chief Counsel to the Mayor and City Hall provides legal guidance to the Mayor and senior policymakers in City Hall on issues including legislation, policy matters, compliance, ethics, and transparency. The Chief Counsel to the Mayor also oversees the operations and directly liaises with the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, the Mayor’s Office of Contract Services, the Office of Labor Relations, the Business Integrity Commission, the Department of Records and Information Services, the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, the Office of Risk Management and Compliance, and several other legal initiatives and functions.
