Office of Citywide Events Coordination & Management & Street Activity Permit Office


Established pursuant to Executive Order No. 100 of 2007, this oversight office is responsible for the coordination of policies, plans, procedures and operations common to the permitting, review and management of events in public spaces by various City agencies, including gatherings in City parks, processions, parades, street fairs, block parties, commercial street events, displays, filming for motion pictures and television, and movie and theater promotional events. The office gathers and provides information about upcoming and ongoing public events to ensure informed decision-making by the various permitting agencies, as well as legal/regulatory compliance by applicants. The Office also assists agencies in the implementation and management of these events. The Office exercises all functions, powers and duties regarding street activity permits.
