New York City is one of the most diverse cities in the United States, and the news publications its residents read reflect that diversity. Ethnic and Community Media (E&C) outlets provide an important way for the city to promote its programs and services to all New Yorkers, including those in immigrant communities and those with limited English proficiency. The Office of Ethnic and Community Media works with City agencies to incorporate these outlets in the promotion of City services to meet a wide range of New Yorkers.
