Overseeing NYC's housing, planning, and development agencies, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Housing and Planning creates bold strategies to plan, build, and preserve homes and neighborhoods that shape a more affordable and livable city.
Agencies and offices reporting to the Deputy Mayor for Housing and Planning include the New York City Housing Authority, Department of Housing Preservation and Development, Housing Development Corporation, Department of Buildings, Department of City Planning, Office to Protect Tenants, Landmarks Preservation Commission, Public Design Commission, and Office of Housing Recovery Operations. The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Housing and Planning maintains liaison with the Rent Guidelines Board, and the Board of Standards and Appeals.
